frames & N 4.7

where I work they support Netscape 4.7, we use frames a lot, but
framesets that look fine in IE look awful in N 4.7, can someone shed
some light on what the deal is w/frames in N 4.7? in N 4.7 frames are
different sizes from what they're supposed to be, etc.. thank you very
much..

Netscape 4 rounds frame dimensions to the nearest 1%. E.g. if the inner
width of a browser window is (say) 600px, and you tell NN4 to make a frame
20px wide (3.33% of the width), NN will make it 18px wide (3.00% of the
width).

You therefore have to design sites so that exact frame sizes are not
critical.

well ain't this grand..... framesets I'm talking about are complex
framesets with lots of nested framesets etc... (if I could show you
w/borders turned on you'd see what I mean.. I only have access to
dvlpmt server here -- don't even have access to pers. ftp server where
my own site is.. bummer.. & alas, don't have a comp at home...) ok,
thank you very much.. Frances
