Dreamweaver and the properties box when updating form objects

I have a love hate thing going with Dreamweaver! One of the things I
absolutely hate is the properties box when modifying form objects.

Lets say you lay out a form in a table and it comes time to establish
the form names and values.

You can only see 11 characters max when modifying the Checked Value
and or Initial Value in the properties box. Its crazy!

Can anybody recommend a program that has a properties box with entry
spaces with text lengths longer than 11 freakin characters
ARRRG!

ARRRG!

How about using Dreamweaver in either split or code view and enter the
value(s) directly into the markup?

Notepad, UltraEdit, EMACS, vi, ...

You've got all the space you want to type attributes and their values
when you type your HTML code by hand in a text editor.
