Formating a page for printing

I'm looking for information (links) on formating a page intended for
printing. Something more refined than the browser print menu, which tends
to pring extra information in the header and footer.

Try searching the web for "print stylesheets" or "print css." And read
up on the css spec at w3c.org. I'm not at my own computer, and thus
don't have my bookmarks, so you'll have to find the links yourself.
Fortunately, you have Google to help you.
