Password and Text field anomalies in IE 6.0

Just go: http://mail.yahoo.com/

Why is the text field rendered with a smaller size than the password one?

It looks fine in Navigator.

I have tried to a number of things, but none worked

How do you make both boxes be rendered with the same size in a cross=browser way?

They are rendered identically in IE 6.0 on my system, also in Opera 7.23.
