AOL 5.0 for Mac issues

Bob
I'm looking for general information as to what people do to cope
with this dated, but current release from AOL, browser. From what
I've heard, it (still) uses an IE4 based engine, From what I've
seen, that appears optimistic.

I'm looking for maximum, graphical, backward capability with this
site so tables and the way to go, not CSS. But, there are some
real oddities with things like table cell backgrounds - they don't
just fail to display like Netscape 3 (a reasonable fall back), they
seem to tile into each cell of the table.

What do most folks do... just ignore the AOL/Mac users ?
