Hi,
We are have built an in-house content management system and are
looking for a good WYSIWYG browser-based editor to use with it. Cost
can be anywhere from free to $2000. Qualities we're looking for (in
order of importance)
- Solid product – well used, well debugged
- Can work with relatively complex HTML
Ideally, it would be a product by a company that is solid & offers
some sort of support option, but if there's a good product out there
that is widely used and respected & not backed by a big company,
that's ok too. We may start with something inexpensive & port to
something more solid down the road.
Here are some products we've looked at so far:

<a href="http://www.siteobjects.com/pages/soeditor.cfm">soEditor</a>
<a href="http://www.ektron.com/ewebeditproxml.aspx">Ektron
webeditproXML</a>
<a href="http://www.ektron.com/ewebeditpro.aspx">Ektron webEditPro</a>
Is there a de-facto standard WYSIWYG editor that ppl are using these
days? I see a lot of references to Ektron's product. We've looked at
both the regular editor and the editor that includes XML capability.
Anyway, any insight is welcome. Thanks,
-Ellen
