is there a meta tag for Accessibility

Hi,

Have been asked to put a meta tag for Accessibility on our web site.

we have all the ususal suspects already there, but I have never heard
of one for Accessibility///???
any help pleae

Possibly they are referring to
http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG10/wai-page...h-use-metadata
where the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines say "Provide metadata
to add semantic information to pages and sites."
This involves more than simply adding a meta tag though.

That could be part of a company policy. If so, it should be documented
somewhere.

For example, at <URL:http://valet.webthing.com/access/> I suggest the
possibility of linking to an accessibility report with
<link rel="accessibility" type="application/rdf+xml" href="report.rdf">
A company might mandate doing the same thing with <meta name>
in place of <link rel>. Or the value might be a result of accessibility
analysis. Or ... many possibilities, not least that you misunderstood,
or that whoever asked you to add it is clue-challenged.
