automation of HTML transactions - like uploading?

Hello all!

Part of a project I'm beginning work on will require me to automate a
simulated web transaction in a frequency. Part of that transaction
will include uploading a file. I don't think I'll have a problem
simulating the regular following of links, clicking of a button, and
etc.. What I'm more interested in is the proper way to upload the
file and etc.

Sorry so vague - if you have any input here I'd appreciate it.

Also - I have some experience using cURL - if anyone has as any input
on its application to situations like this, I'd love to hear it. I
was thinking I might use it. Any opinions on anything better to help
me do what I need?

Thanks,

Chris
