If you are using a combined modem/network card, (or a machine with modem and
separate network card) then one of the IP Addresses *may* be reported as
that of the dial-up(modem), the second address *may* be that of the network
card.
*IF* you are using a Windows based machine, the best thing would be to
either run:
"WINIPCFG" (Windows... Start Menu - norm bottom left...Select Run... Enter
WinIPCfg)
- this opens a dialogue box where you should see PPP Adapter (dialup-modem)
and possibly any other additional network cards.
OR
Goto DOS prompt (Windows ... Start..Run..."Command")
and enter "Ipconfig" - this will show Ip addresses associated with various
bits of hardware.
