Request critique: the <TABLE> I made is nuts!

Hi,

I'd like to see the table get much easier to understand.
http://www.peterlangshowroom.com/showroom.html is the URL to a page with the
table I made. The customer .jpg's are large, the layout is not how I would
have created the table, but, alack and alas! The "customer is always right",
right? Having gotten a .doc file with the exact layout to use I started the
task of creating theis page. But, since no 2 images are the same size, the
cells and rows started to mount as I tried to balance things.

Anyway the URL above is displays the page as my customer wants. Now, my
fear is that there will be changes
coming - sooner than later, I bet. I'd like to create a better page while
there is time.

Help and comments appreciated and thanked for in advance.
P.S. If a post I thought I typed last night and submitted (Google Group
reader) around 11:00PM shows up, (it is 12 hours later now) then please,
ignore one or the other, hehe.

No tables are preferred - Yes, all valid and well put comments in the prior
posts.
Try using code like:
<div id="Layer1" style="position: absolute; left: 12px; top: 13px; width:
153px; height: 252px;
z-index: 1; background: #FFFFFF; vertical-align: middle">
<img src="images/richer-color-backroom200x340.jpg" ALT="Easy
living..." border="0">
</div>

Download the trialware Macromedia Dreamweaver MX tool and see how easy it is
to move the <DIV> elements around in the "Design View" (similar to the
browser view.)

Save many nights of sleepless questions and anxieties!
