Hi, all.
Disclaimer: I've already got an idea that items in the subject are sort of
deprecated. Don't blame on me for them.
If for some reasons you do have tables then I believe Rulers in the new
version (1.1)of the BlockNote.Net (http://www.blocknote.net) might help you
to find out glitches there.
Description of the rulers can be found here:
http://www.blocknote.net/info/rulersexplained.htm
And here my recommendations on tables if you wish:
Take a look on http://www.blocknote.net/tests/17.htm
All tested browsers (IE,Firebird(Mozilla),Opera,Amaya) show different and
sometimes unpredictable (for human) results on this test.
Recommendation: do not use width or height attributes for spanned cells.
They seem just ignored or non proper accounted.
And this one cannot be rendered on NO ONE browser properly! Sic!
http://www.blocknote.net/tests/8.htm
Try to avoid such situations (if you can). This sample use ancient basic
markup!
I am disappointed.
PS: Does anybody have spare money? We can create together browser of the
dream. Small, fast, reliable and predictable (from standards point of
view). Open source, closed source - does not matter - it just will work.
