Using padding / margin with collapsed borders

I have a table which I can't change the HTML of and it has a cellspacing set which means it leaves gaps in between the cells if it put borders in it.
I need to remove the cellpadding with CSS and I used border collapse but now I can't seem to add any padding or margins to the table becuase I need to 50px padding at the top.

Is there any other way to remove the cellpadding, or another way to get some of my own padding in there?
