To draw cross domain images on canvas

Is there any way to make this solution work on IE9??

Every browser is at various different stages of implementation when it comes to HTML5. If it doesn't work right now, be patient.

I guess canvas is supported by IE9, so why not this??

You'd have to ask the microsoft engineer's why they implemented one thing as opposed to another. That's not really something we can tell you. All we can do is give you guesses on why they made their decision.

For example, maybe they ran out of time and had to push out their product. Maybe implementing it caused performance issues. Is this the reason why they did what they did? No clue. Is it possible? Sure. But you'd have to ask them about their thought process.
