iframes and nested iframes

I have written a program and to get the last part of it to work I had to use iframes but I'm hoping now to put the program into an iframe. Are they any major issues in using nested iframes?

The inner iframe needs to talk to its parent but how can I be sure it will only talk to its parent and not its "grandparent"?

The second thing it, to get the page to work, I need to post a value to it using a form. Is there any way for the program in the iframe to read the posted value, or is there a way (preferably HTML or JavaScript) that will send the value to the iframe? I can't use a GET value.

I got the iframe into the page I wanted to do and got it working. What I really need to do though is post a value to it. I have a form linking to a page that posts a value. Can I get the page inside the iframe to read the posted value when it's parent page loads up or does the parent have to read it first?
