How to place information in html/css file that updates

Hi, I am using Front Page. I have included a page using "included content", "page" in a place on my webpages. The code looks like this
<!--webbot bot="Include" U-Include="right column.htm" TAG="BODY" -->

The content of this "page" changes regularly and I thought I was being smart by just changing the "included page" and re-uploading to the server. However, when I preview the page before publishing it, it looks correct but once the included page (which has changed) is uploaded, the new content does not appear on the webpages. I don't want to have to go in and change every single page manually and I thought this would work but it's not and I had to go into every single web page and re-insert the "included content". Why is this please and what is the best solution ? I tried to follow instructions on php but it didn't work - nothing showed at all. I hate FP but my Dreamweaver program has a problem.

Haven't a clue what any of that is inside that tag but I'm going to guess it requires a server with FrontPage extensions to work so you need to see if your host has that.

Other than that, keep in mind that FrontPage was abandoned about five years ago or more and, even then, was the worst markup generator on the planet so good luck with that.

Hi, hoping someone can advise. I look after a small website for a horse riding club. I need to add some info in one of the columns for their noticeboard which changes every 2 to 4 weeks. I don't want to have to go in and edit every page individually when the info changes so I created another html file called right column and using Front Page, used "insert", "included content", "page" I inserted this file into the 6 or so html pages. Seemed to work fine but when I changed the info in the right column file and uploaded it to the web server, the current information did not appear on the webpages. I had to go in and manually insert the included content again for every page.

This is the code on the html pages to include the file

<!--webbot bot="Include" U-Include="right column.htm" TAG="BODY" -->

Why did I have to go in and do this manually for each page again ? I thought that just changing the content of the attached page (right column.htm) and uploading to the server would automatically update the main html pages.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do so that I don't have to manually do this every time the information is updated ? Do I need to use PHP or something and if so, how would I do that please ?

Hate Front Page but my Dreamweaver program is faulty and I'm not familiar with much other than a bit of CSS and html.
