Is it possible to position text ABSOLUTE on a html webpage ?

no. but you can position text by means of its container element.

I mean it this way:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. <p id="mytext">all of my text</p>
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. #mytext {
  2.     position: absolute;
  3.     top: 3em;
  4.     left: 10em;
  5. }
