P: 64
with javascript we can make smaller or bigger text but via css , can we make the same effect ?

for example notice html code as follow
<p><big>this is big text</big></p>
i want to use css style and i dont want to depend on knowing current font-size of the paragraph , can i make a effect similar to big tag via css?

in advance , thanks

Yes and, in fact, you should no longer be using those elements.

To set the font size relative to the rest of the paragraph, use percentages or em:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. p { font-size: 150% }
  2. p { font-size: 1.5em }
Both make the font size 1.5 times larger than the current set size of the font in p.
