How to get the same results for TOP in IE and Firefox?

P: 17
I'm using the following style

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. #Wrapper {
  2. left: 0px;
  3. position: absolute;
  4. margin-left: 465px;
  5. width: 280px;
  6. top:455px;
  7. }
This displays correctly in firefox but in IE is is about 5 rows lower than it should be.

Am I missing something?

Only that you shouldn't expect IE to act the same as modern browsers do but, without the complete markup or a link, anything is just a wild guess.

You can use a known hack for this: !important

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. #menu {
  2. position:absolute;
  3. top:275px!important;  /* what firefox reads */
  4. top:300px; /* what ie reads */
  5. }
