White bar displaying at top of page in Safari

I have a problem using Safari. I'm getting a white bar about ten pixel hight displaying across the top of my browser window where the page should start.
It works fine in IE and Firefox but Safari, Opera and Google Chrome I get this bar.

Before I post any code I wanted to ask if this is a known issue that there is a quick fix to?

Without a link or the complete markup, anything's a wild guess.

I sorted the problem. I was using an old version of a broser detector that didn't detect Safari so it was applying a fix for a different browser in Safari becuase it didn't know it was using Safari.

Thanks anyway.
