CSS Position Property (Static, Relative, Absolute, Fixed)

hi everyone, i have recenlty started web designing and im not very much familiar with the CSS techniques. i have gone through tutorial like w3schools but unable to understand the CSS position property i.e. position: static, relative, absolute or fixed. Please anybody tell me about these properties in detail with some examples so i can understand it. I shall be grateful.
