Hi, have a double posted?
Can't recall as iwas in hurry to post before leaving.
Apologies if i did.

What i want is HTML text wrap/word wrap as i have 2 columns in whcih the one column string is built on user selection - when it's long it goes over the second column which has image.

You could give your division/paragraph (whatever is holding your text) a set width, but as Dormilich mentioned you can not wrap it with a specific number of characters using HTML/CSS alone.

Thanks,

the closed thing to a wrap after x characters would be a width defined in units of font size (if your font-size is 1em the average character width should be between 0.5em and 1ex, or am I wrong there?)
