ASP.NET Website Header

Hi All,

I don't have any experience with developing websites and want to make my first asp.net website using Visual Studio. I want to use PhotoShop to make the header of my website.

My question is, what size should be the header to avoid resolution issues?

Thanx.

It should be resolution independent. Is it all graphic from end to end or a logo and some text with a solid background? The standard width now-a-days is 1024 wide reduced to about 972 but...it depends.

Using .net and visual studio don't play any part in this decision.
