Good Web Design Color Combo

What are some good color combinations for web design in your opinion? I was thinking about a bumble design for my newest page. It'd be mostly black with a bunch of nice touches of yellow here and there. I was consdering brown and tan, or green and yellow. I need something that is relatively easy on the eyes too. Not someting that's 'in-your-face' so to speak. Something comfortable.

That's the hardest question to answer in the book. It's frequently better to look at other web sites and copy their color scheme for those of us who are not artists. Understanding 'color theory' is a good thing to google for. The theory is not as hard to understand as it sounds but picking the right colors for anything is always a difficult job.

For us non-artists, again, sometimes things are good enough. Searching for a palette to use is not fun. One of my favorite sites to go to is colourlovers.com
