<td> width

hello
i have a problem that i fix width of <td> e.g. width="25"

but when data is entered larger than this width than it disturb whole page because it go like this

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

i want that it should go like this

wwww
wwww
wwww
wwww
wwww

mean not beyond width of <td>

As to your question.

As far as I know, there is no standard way (yet) of wrapping text like that.

Edit:
IE does support the "word-break: break-all" style, but I think that is proprietor and will most likely only work in IE.
Might be in the CSS3 standard tho... not sure.

Try using nested divs inside td.
