Dreamweaver Questions (If Possible)

Hey guys,

I've run my site through the validator and everything checks out however, I'm noticing in using different browsers to view the site, I'm getting excess space in one (Firefox) that I'm not getting in Explorer (7). Does anyone know how to prevent this? Here is an image of what I'm talking about..

In addition I wanted to know if there were any fixes for "shifting" when you resize the windows. I know that if you put them within tables that it fixes it, however I was curious if there were any "Find and Replace" fixes that I could put in. Just in case you don't know what I'm talking about here is another image..

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

try this maybe...

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. #bord {
  2.     position: absolute;
  3.     left: 62px;
  4.     top: 56px;
  5.     width: 850px;
  6.     padding: 0;
  7.     margin: 0;
  8.     height: 504px;
  9.  }
this doesn't solve the problem it moves the problem to IE! what i would do (short of doing it all relativly as oposed to absolutly) is make longer button images and find a compromise between the two browsers.
