Forum text editor width issue with IE 6 and 7.Fine in FF.

I have recently installed Fireboard Forum on my website.

All seems to be working great except for one particular issue: when i test the forums out and try to start a “NEW THREAD” or “REPLY TOPIC” the text editor is wider than my content module using IE 6 and IE7 and so writing a message becomes very awkward. As there are no scroll bars there is no way of scrolling back to the left hand side of the message box.

It works fine though in Firefox (v.

I have tried playing around with the following lines but to no avail.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. table#fb_postmessage .fb_txtarea {forum.css (line 142)
  2. border:1px solid #CCCCCC;
  3. height:300px;
  4. overflow:auto; (changed to scroll but to no avail)
  5. width:95%; (changed various times, nothing in IE, but all changes rendered correclty in FF)
If someone could point me in the right direction i would very much appreciate it.

I am using Joomla! CMS. The template is XHTML 1.0 Transitional , it´s just some of the added modules and components are not.
I realise there are some errors but this is NOT why i came onto this forum. I asked a particular question and tried to give as much info as possible in order for the problem to be solved.

I know of few sites that earn millions of euros a year and still have more errors than my site when put through the validator.

Some of us are NOT as gifted as you are with HTML or CSS so i would appreciate a bit more help than 2 links.
