Opacity Problem CSS

133 100+
Hi,

I have a table which has around 3 rows and i have the following class assigned to each row.
.fadewhite { background-color:#FFFFFF; filter:alpha(opacity=25); -moz-opacity:.25;}
The problem is that when i do the below the Text in that row also fades and i don't want this. How do i make sure the text stays the same color?
<td class="fadewhite"><a href="#" class="menu">Weddings</a></td>
Cheers,
Adam

Modern browsers understand the CSS property 'opacity' so you should use that instead of -moz-opacity. Of course, IE is not a modern browser so you'll have to keep the non-standard 'filter' in there.

The text is fading because you are applying the opacity to the whole cell, therefore it's contents, too. Without trying this myself, you might just apply a different opacity to the <a> by itself.
