positioning

I got a bit of a positioning problem with a image I am trying get some text and a list located with z-index and how do you u post the code neat compact and with numbers when asking for help.

how do you u post the code neat compact and with numbers when asking for help.
When you post, there are buttons above the text box you type in. One is specifically for html. The other is for code. There are different attributes for code. Such as code=css or code=javascript etc.
