Apple Safari: select box behaviour

My page does not behave properly with Apple Safari (Mac and Windows)
and I have difficulties to sort out the cause of the problem. The next
link will open the page. On the top you will find one select box for
the diagram and one for the zoom level. The zoom level is disabled so
it can not be modified. But the diagram select box behaves as if it is
disabled too. This does not happen on browsers like Mozilla and IE:

Any ideas? Is it my code or is it some sort of Safari bug?

Best regards,
Holger

Try fixing the validation errors and see if it helps.

Hi Adrienne,
Try fixing the validation errors and see if it helps.
the page is W3C valid now but the problem with Safari remains.
