Frame to htm/css content hyperlinking

I like frames, but wanted to change site from frames to html/css. The problem I am having is in frames I can set the content in a frame by a hyperlink target. In html/css how do I get the content I wish to be display in the content area from the hyperlink? When I hyperlink to the content area it always opens a new page and does not place in content area. In the hyperlink properties for the target does not show my content areas and when I manually set the content area it opens a new brower page. The reason for the change is that I want a cleaner look of css and being able to center the page in the screen. In frames it is always to the left, not centered. Can I, in frames center the page to like 800px or 1024px and control the size so it does not spread across the browser?

You can get look you want very easily, and without frames. I strongly suggest picking up a book on CSS.

Hope it helps, Thanks, Death
