dropdown list not support overlay for IE6 its appeared on overlay please help

i have dropdown select menu in my page. when i click here link the black overlay comes .in FF overlay working fine but in IE6 the select option menu appeared on overlay...please help me

Your doctype is incorrect. See if changing it to this fixes the problem:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">

without adding this atleast overlay is coming properly in IE6 but after adding

"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> my overlay is also not appeared in IE6..Please help me is there any css hack i can use for select dropdown menu?

Well, after you added the proper doctype, did you validate for any errors in your html/css and fix them?

Well, how to do that?...please tell me....i dont know?..can u please add that doctype in code and see the result in IE6?...everthing gets disturbed...i dont understand how to fix?
