Launching an App to open a file from a hyperlink

Hi,

If I enter "C:/Progra~1/Starbase/CodeWright/cw32.exe C:/test/test.c" from the command line I can open the file. In this case CW32 is launched and opens test.c.

So, how do I do this from a hyper link?

I tried:

<a href="C:/Progra~1/Starbase/CodeWright/cw32.exe C:/test/test.c">test.c</a>

But, it doesn't work.

Could I call a java script from the hyperlink that would do this?

If so, how? I don't know the scripting language.
