single click to download

I have some files on my site that I want several family members to be able to view (photos) and then download.

I have a page setup that gives them thumbnails (64x48) and allows them to view the photo (480x360). I want to let them download the LARGER files (3500x2300). I know I can put a link on the thumbnail and let them click that, but then I don't know that my mother can figure out how to download the picture that now more than fills her screen (anything other than clicking on a link is more than she wants).

I have given my sister FTP access to the large photos, but she never has time to do anything.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can do this (preferably with a single click)?

What about two links beneath each thumbnail - one that says "view picture in full size" and one that says "download picture?"
