White space above header

I am just starting to get into the basics of CSS and HTML, and have a specific design in mind, very inspired by Digg .

However, When I try to imitate their title bar, i end up with a section of blank space above the header.

Any thoughts?

css:

#damtitle h1
{
font-family:"Copperplate Gothic Bold";
font-size:36px;
color:#FFCC00;
margin:0 10px;
margin-top:0px;
}
.content
{
display:block;
background:#000099;
border:0 solid #FFCC00;
border-width:0 2px;
}

html:

<body>
<div id="damtitle">
<div class="content">
<h1>
D@M
</h1>
</div>
</div>

nevermind, I already solved it.

For those who also have this issue, just set the margin to a negative number to reduce empty space
