img src is not working

I have written very simple code

<img src="c:\img1.jpg"></img>

It is working fine in IE 5.5 but it is not working in IE 6.0
What to do, can any body help me.

The image tag should be like this:
[HTML]<img src="c:\img1.jpg" />[/HTML]

Only if he's using xhtml. /> is a xhtml end tag and not html.

Actually no sorry, the src is pointing to the right location because it worked in the earlier version of IE, maybe its a bug

Is this picture located on the web? Or are you doing something locally? If locally I seriously doubt C:\ is the location of an image.
