CSS question

Dear All,

Having CSS problem, please help.

HTML structure is.

<code>
<div id="top">&nbsp;</div>

<div id="splitter"></div>

<div id="bottom"></div>

------------------------------------------

//on some event this div will be replaced with content of top div
<div id="content">
HTML Elements having <b>absolute</b> positions.
</div>
------------------------------------------
</code>

CSS for top panel:
# top
{
position: static; //tried with rel and abso
overflow: scroll;
height: <b>324px;</b> // height must be in pixel
}
On some event content div will be <b>replaced</b> with inner html of
top panel. I want top div should get scroll bar if contents do not fit.
But as HTML elements of content div tag are having absolute position,
the scroll bar dose not come.

I specified style of top div as overflow: scroll; still there will be a
scroll bar, but the controls of content div are overlapping with that
scroll bar.

I want to add a scroll bar to top div if contents ("HTML elements of
content DIV") dose not fit into top panel.

Thanks,
Mahesh

Could you post an example somewhere, or give us your complete list of
CSS rules? It's difficult to help when we have to guess what you're
doing.
Are you setting dimensions on the absolutely-positioned content div?

Could you at least include some quoted text, the part you are replying to?
It is difficult to follow up on a discussion if all context gets lost
someway.
