Help with CSS and conflicts

1
Hey guys,

I'm doing a small project for myself which involves the whole idea of accessibility and usability. I'm using PHP, MySQL and HTML, CSS, Javascript...
Basically, you can specific how YOU want the page to look like in terms of the font size, the colour of the font, the background colour, whether you want images etc etc.

What my question is, is that if I view any webpage using MY preferences (as above), how does one get around potential conflicting CSS problems when visiting other websites? - as ive tested, it's not always the case that sites change according to ALL of the preferences I have stated.

I'd appreciate any kind of feedback or ideas that'll help me.
Cheers,

G
