I'm just starting 8 days ago with HTML.
I want my website to be as compatible as possible.

Should I use "& # 8 2 1 1" for an en-dash or can i use "& n d a s h ;"?
And when do you use "& # 1 5 0 ;"???

Thank you for answering me at my email address,

Sono (Brussels, Belgium) EMAIL REMOVED

PS : I needed to put spaces else the software automaticly translates it into the current en-dash sign

Thank you for you reply!

I'm just learning to use this website. it's not clear for me where to find my topics (questons) sometimes the screen jsut goes blank and back to the HOME page. At that time I'm logged out automaticly and need to re-login.

What should I do to get ASAP to my HTML topic? I'm using Safari with Mac OS X (10.4.8) on a MacMini (old one, not the INTEL one).

I've posted a more clear description undr the title
"What HTML code is MOST GENERAL (i.e. independant of platform and browser)"
I do not understand how 2 different codes (i.e. 150 and 8211) can have the same result.

sincerely,

Sono

It's better to use the numbered system rather than the named one. (Every thing is slipping my mind today. I can't remember the actual name of them. Character entity)
