Links won't work in IE7

First of all, let me say I've had very little training in html and probably know just enough to be dangerous. I designed a website for my alumni association last summer using XHTML Transitional and CSS. I finally got around to posting it, but in the meantime IE7 came out. Everything looks fine in IE6 and FF, but when the page is opened in IE7 the links are dead. I've tried several fixes, but can't get anything to work. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

The URL to the site is: http://www.summersvillealumni.com.

The index page code is:

Hi,
I copied your code and pasted it in an .html file on my PC and it worked just fine in IE 7. the only difference is that I pasted all your CSS code in the <head> section and did not include it as an external file. (this shouldn't be the problem but try it anyways)

Hopefully it helps.

I tried what you said, and the links do work, but all my formatting is wrong. There are no frames and the colors are wrong. Could you go to my URL and see if that works on your IE7?

Thanks!

...hm....what you would try is to add to your #nav in the CSS code: position:absolute; and then go to your <body> and erase the </div> at the end of the left-hand-side menu and move it at the end of the document just before your closing </body> tag. try and let me know if this works cause i didn't have much time to play around with it. Also try to put your menu in <p> menu </p> format just make it as a paragraph...

WOW! It worked! Now all I have to do is move the </div> on all my other pages linked to the stylesheet. I'll post again if I encounter any more problems, but you seem to have solved this one.

I appreciate your quick response and the awesome advice. THANKS!!!
