question about a link, a font and a color

alright, I am a newbie at CSS (or HTML)
and I have this script(this one is for myspace:p):

the problem is that my text remains black and isn't courier
can someone help me please?

A lot of that code is invalid. You can't put heading tags inside paragraphs. And this:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers

h1 {color: #228B22} {font-family: courier new}

should be this:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers

 h1{

color:#228b22;

font-family: "courier new"

}
