hi there... this discussion is only slightly related as i couldn't find a general forum... i apologize... anyway, does anyone know the best (legitimate) way to submit a finished website to search engines for free?

Here's the link for Google:

Here's the link for Yahoo (they make you register for some reason):
http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html

Um... AOL? Couldn't find it.

Dunno. Are there any others?

You can also add your site to the DMOZ, which many search engines (such as Google, Yahoo and AOL) index from time to time (but it might take a few weeks):
http://dmoz.org/add.html
