Firefox or Mac issue?

7
Hi Hello,

I recently created a website in IE6 using frames.

My friend has a Mac, the browser is Firefox. The top frame cannot be entirely seen. Is it a Firefox or Mac issue?

How can I be sure that my website can work with all browsers? Should I still use frames in the future?

Thanks for replying !

best thing to do is to downlaod a copy of firefox for yourself and develop using that, you can ahve IE open at teh sametime to check it still works in IE.

There are a lot of problems when using frames. One is that it's difficult for users to bookmark. They are harder to debug, too.

Try to avoid using frames try use templates instead. also make sure you see your frame size to fit the screens. This is a common error for tables as well.

I have no idea of how you've constructed your site, but my experience tells me that you should allways be sure that you use a correct Doc Declaration and CSS to position everything. That narrows down errors.

And yes, see to it that you have several browsers, or at least a good *standard browser* (unlike Explorer but like Firefox) to check your sites in.

- If it works in Firefox, don't count on it, but then it's most likely that it works.
