CSS: Background color disappears in Firefox...

Carson Park Ranger
Greetings. we're new here.
We're trying to figure out why our black (customer's idea) background works in IE, but doesn't show in Firefox.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going nuts trying to figure out why my background color disappears in Firefox, but is okay in IE. Here's the page:

I went back into the discussion, but didn't come across the same problem.

As a starting point I suggest that you validate all your html code using the W3 HTML validator (there are 34 errors in your code).

And also validate all your css files using the W3 CSS validator (1 error in layout.css and 13 errors in jd.gallery.css although some of those are just for various browser extensions.

You have this
<body bgcolor="#ffffff">
in your HTML, now bgcolor is not valid in XHTML 1.0 and the # should not be there but I can not believe that this is helping you achieve a black background.
