I tend to stay away from defining font size with em values, which I assume must be the problem with the font size in IE. Try changing the font body size to 80% instead of .70em/1.5em and adjust from there.

I took your advice, it worked. The only time it looks normal is when it's at 25%, but FireFox makes it even smaller.

It could relate to you viewing text size.
Do this goto Internet explorer and look in the View Menu. Select text size
do the same for FireFox.
Are they the same....

Thanks, and I understand that may play a part in it, but if you weren't going to offer any help, what was the point of you posting that?

The biggest help I can offer anyone is making sure their code validates. Errors are errors and making an error riddled page work is pure luck. You will continue to have problems with this page ongoing and it will be unreliable until you fix all of them. If anything, you should be grateful to anyone who points this out to you.

In addition, you were already helped. What was I to do to add to it?

Looking back, it looks like you are still having problems because it only works at 25%? If that's true, validating your code may fix that but working with markup is hard enough without having to fight your way through broken error filled pages.

Still, if you have of added some of the words from your recent post to your earlier posts, I would have looked at it much differently.

Like you said, "what else could you have done, since someone else had already helped me?" You could have just said "Correct the errors in your code."

Now I'll be on my merrily way. No need to return a reply, I won't be visiting this website any more.

Thanks.

I was going to link him to this but that makes some people reply in the same manner. In any case, he'll either learn or won't be doing this sort of work much longer. And going to another forum won't do him any good either. He'll receive the same feedback.

Guys you replied correctly as experts and you don't have to put up with rudeness from posters. You volunteer your valuable time here and it's appreciated. Unfortunately some people can't be helped. Kevin consider yourself rapped on the knuckles.

I don't see anything wrong with doc's post. The one thing we are very strict about on this site is that everyone from member to mod be treated with respect.

Mary

P.S. I'll leave it up to the mods if they wish to clean out this thread of the recent posts or leave them in.
