Two problems.
Okay,
I have been trouble shooting this for many hours, doing as much
research as possible.
YUI calendar control in IE 6.0: Elements show through it. Can't
figure this one out at all. Have not tested any other version.
Float:left: IE looks fine. FireFox div's drop to next line.

About the html design and concept.
The page your looking at will be generated dynamicaly using AJAX, XSLT
and of course Javascript. I am working out the bugs in the ClientSide
generation.
Server side AJAX call will produce an HTML fragment. A list of fields
that can be searched in the database. The parent, class =
"searchFields".
Children, class = "searchField". Each search field has numerous
parameters that defines behavior, (yet to be implimented) Each search
field contains two Div's. SearchFieldLabel and searchFieldContent.
Class also apply look and feel and probalby should be moved to an
attribute, but for the moment....
class = dateTime : Display a date and time input.
class = hint : Display a hit button.
class = searchTo: Display a second field to perform a between search.
Problem:
I am new to div layouts. Been using tables for some time and I am
struggling alot with Div's. In this case, the Div in firefox drops a
line with the float:left attribute. In some cases, as noted in the
dateTime example, it drops and flows flush against the left containing
div. In the textInput case it dops but doesn't go flush.
I want it to not drop at all. There is plenty of room yet it insists
on dropping.
Please help.
Thanks,
Erik
