how to get objects side by side

Hello everybody. I am in need of assistance with my myspace, i am trying to get my comment box, and the thing under it in the section titled "contacting me" to be side by side. I used a float code i found from another site, but it made the submit button stop working.

here is the url to my site im talking about so you can get a visual:
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=897 60759&MyToken=8acd3f64-d1a9-4a1f-a90f-51b8f21b0f3e

So i am wondering if there is anyway to make them go side by side even if i need to add another column or something if anyone can help me that will be much appreciated also sorry if my punctuation or grammar or spelling is wrong.
Thanks.

post your html/css code, nobody is going to go fishing around on your myspace page to try and figure this out for you.
