Changing Cellspacing in a single column only

P: n/a
Is there a way to change the cell spacing in a single column only? I
want to set the cellspacing to zero in one of my columns. So far I
only see the cellspacing attribute used with the <tabletag not the
<tdtag. Does anyone know the answer to this? Thanks John.

No. Not even in CSS (which has border-spacing for the purpose, but it
applies to an entire table only, just as the cellspacing attribute in HTML).

A way to circumvent the limitation is to split the table into two tables,
make them cells of an outer table, and set cellspacing="0" for the outer
table.
