file tag problem

i have a file tag in html page..

but i want the text where the selected file to placed will be readonly...

i want to stop the user to enter the file name manually..

just he or she can enter the file by selecting the file from the file browser

plz help me out ....

really it is not possible in html by setting it readonly or anything else

finally i managed to do so ..

i tried the code ...


<input type = file name = "" onkeypress = "return false" onkeydown = "return false" onkeyup = "return false">

that stops the user to enter the file location manually ..
only user can enter the file name by browsing
