try adding a border attribute to the image tag

border="0"

or

style="border-width: 0px"

Thanks Jared

I will give it a go with your advice, is there a reason why it does this, is it something on my side of things or is it to do with firefox

Thanks again in advance

Your doctype is incomplete and IE goes into quirks mode. The problem is IE and not Firefox. See the sticky at the top of this forum and use html4 strict. Then validate your html and css for any errors to be fixed.
