I assume you mean for in conjunction with Javascript, in order to
navigate your site?

Take a look at Listamatic, <http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic/>,
section "Horizontal lists", for numerous tab based navigation options.

I have looked at the web site and although I know HTML coding, I have
no knowledge of CSS coding.

I attempted to copy and paste some of the coding into my HTML editor,
and I got nothing that looked anything like what was displayed.

Can I please find someone to help me.

You might find the CSS Tab Designer (freeware software for Windows)
helpful. See page bottom:

Search for "sliding doors" and you'll find this
http://alistapart.com/articles/slidingdoors/

CSS-built tabs that work fine with either plain text or trivial images
to make the corners. They don't need "three images per tab" as some of
them do. You can probably do the rest on your own (or ask for advice
here).
